Main Activity
30 Minutes |
- Provide the pupils with the ‘Match the Capital to the Country’ game in the Activity section, which will need to have been cut out and made beforehand. Alternatively, edit the sheet in the downloads section by changing the order of the capital cities and the children can cut the cards out and then play the game.
- Play the game by simply matching the capital to the country. When the class get to the point that they are struggling, provide them with an atlas and they can find the capital cities for each country.
- Once complete, play ‘Kim’s game/Memory game’ with the cards to learn the pairs.
- Then identify the continents for each cricket playing nation and see what they spot. Why is this?
